Close fit begins with the complete pattern
Internal seams are the defining idea, but the label alone does not specify finger lengths, gusset widths or thumb construction. Define those details before comparing two negative-cut samples. A tight wrist opening is a separate choice and should not be confused with finger fit.
Make seam comfort part of the trial
Have representative keepers open and close their hands and review pressure at the fingertips and side panels. Use a consistent measurement method and compare adjacent sizes where needed. Record fit feedback against a specific sample revision.
Match the palm to the role
Combine negative construction with the intended palm and backhand. A training-led range may prioritise repeated use; a match-focused range may use a softer grip specification. Keep the use case visible in the model brief instead of assuming the cut determines the material.
| Specification point | Review on the sample |
|---|---|
| Internal seams | Pressure points and seam comfort |
| Finger channels | Length, width and fingertip space |
| Thumb | Shape, wrap and movement |
| Entry | Cuff opening and ease of removal |
