Specify the wrapping and joins
Use a drawing or reference sample to describe the finger wrap, joins between fingers and thumb construction. Similar marketing names can conceal different patterns. Confirm what is meant before approving artwork or a production brief.
Check movement as well as coverage
Wrapped palm coverage should be reviewed alongside finger flexibility, thickness and fit. Ask testers to make a fist, extend the fingers and handle a ball. Distinguish a preference for padding from a preference for the construction itself.
Create a clear place in the range
A roll-finger model can provide a different fit choice beside a negative-cut model. Explain that distinction in your own product copy. Avoid presenting a construction preference as a guarantee of a particular playing result.
| Specification point | Review on the sample |
|---|---|
| Wrap | Coverage around each finger |
| Joins | Consistency at finger bases |
| Palm layers | Compound, foam and backing |
| Size set | Movement across the intended sizes |
